چکیده

Compton scatter tomography is an emerging technique with attractive applications in several fields imaging such as non-destructive testing and medical scanning. In this paper, we introduce a novel modality three dimensions fixed source single detector that moves on spherical surface. We also study the Radon transform modeling data consists integrals toric surfaces. Using harmonics arrive to generalized Abel s type equation connecting coefficients of expansion those function. show uniqueness its solution so invertibility transform. illustrate through numerical reconstructions using Tikhonov regularization. A preliminary version algorithm for discrete harmonic available public code repository.

Compton scattering as a probe for materials investigation

This article investigates into the feasibility of using gamma radiation Compton backscatter spectra as a means of material characterization, with the view to developing a portable, hand held probe for investigative purposes such as searching for illicit substances hidden in wall or car door cavities.

Three-dimensional imaging of flat natural and cultural heritage objects by a Compton scattering modality

Characterization and interpretation of flat ancient material objects, such as those found in archaeology, paleoenvironments, paleontology, and cultural heritage, have remained a challenging task to perform by means of conventional x-ray tomography methods due to their anisotropic morphology and flattened geometry. To overcome the limitations of the mentioned methodologies for such samples, an i...

Full three-dimensional direction-dependent X-ray scattering tomography

Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) detects the angular-dependent, coherently scattered X-ray photons, which provide improved contrast among different types of tissues or materials in medical diagnosis and material characterizations. By combining SAXS with computed tomography (CT), coherent scattering computed tomography (CSCT) enables the detection of spatially-resolved, material-specific scat...

Influence of multiple scattering on three-dimensional imaging with optical diffraction tomography.

Optical diffraction tomography is an imaging technique that permits retrieval of the map of permittivity of an object from its scattered far field. Most reconstruction procedures assume that single scattering is dominant so that the scattered far field is linearly linked to the permittivity. In this work, we present a nonlinear inversion method and apply it to complex three-dimensional samples....
